I'm Pittsburgh, PA to the core. I love the Steelers. I still pull for the Pirates, and Penguins. I miss the hills, and my family. I'm also enjoying my stay in South Carolina. I have a beautiful wife (28+ years). I have 2 children.

Life concept...so true we tend to want to have God as a back up plan when our other talents and resources have failed us. You know that you trust Him when everything is breaking loose and I don't mean blessings and you have peace and joy even in the tears. Be careful in the your peace and joy that you don't allow others, though not intentionally, to damper that by throwing up how bad the situation looks in your face. You have to have a focus on God by staying in communication with Him through reading His word to know His throughts and promises towards you and talking to Him. In whatever you may be going through, be encouraged and remember that Jesus has overcome whatever struggle we are facing today.

The challenges of life are so real, but the promises of God are both real and eternal. I'm so glad that our Lord is trustworthy. He has lifted me out of so many things in the past that I am sure a way out is certain in the here and now. Thanks for sharing S.
Talking higher than I live...unfortunately too common place in my diet!!! I know all the facts but knowledge and implementation can be miles away!

I also have to confess it is a whole lot easier to paint the target than it is to hit the bulls eye. I trust i am getting closer to the ideals I describe, but I know I have a ways to go. Thank God for His grace.
The open ended question for me is when God asked Elijah when he was on the run...What are you doing here? That question has been in my spirit for some time now rearding my effectiveness and span of ministry.
I have been having to step up my game in other areas than church in trying to have my walk and talk line up. When I look at what I am doing in ministry regarding church...the answer is not nearly as good of job as should be done. Have to be more focused on the goal and faithful in action.
I need to do more with more dedication and excellence!
We are in a critical time where people need for us to stand up and be who we profess we are in Christ. In the times that we are living people need to see that we love God because of who He is not not because of the circumstances around us. We need to praise Him because He is worthy and He is good! We need to live righteous through the Holy Spirit because we love God.
Let us be encouraged and run with power and courage the race set before us!

With recent events that I have seen (2 siblings pass away within 4 months...one under the age of 40 and one under the age of 50)...I've been trying to place the important things first and that is doing what is pleasing to God. Tommorrow is truly not promised so live as if your soul may be required of you today because it may.
Take care and be encouraged! Live for the Master today so that you can live with Him forever!
